Region: Castilla La Mancha
Founded in 1956, with the union of 4 DO La Mancha bodegas. These facilities are situated in “El Provencio” in a region with a very long tradition of wine making, where the passage of time has helped to build and increase the local know-how and skills.
La Mancha is a sea of old ‘en vaso’, as they say in Spanish, or ‘bush trained’ vines. There are more vines planted in La Mancha than in all of Australia… and they are mostly dry farmed, and old, producing very low crops, naturally. This gives you a bit of insight into why we are able to enjoy such fantastic quality/price ratio in wines from this region in particular.
Bodegas Campos Reales prides itself in retaining the wine related traditions of La Mancha. But… the state-of-the-art technology they have installed enables them to carry out age-old processes more efficiently and with greater control. Embracing the best of the old, and the best of the new!
