Founded in 1850 by Francisco Guardiola, this is a project run by a family that already had a long history of cultivating Monastrell. This is their sixth generation of winemakers. With the arrival of electricity, they introduced innovative mechanical equipment, modifying the traditional processes which had until then, been exercised manually.

Bodegas Guardiola has always focused on “the quality of their wines”, something that has been transferred from father to son, together with the secret of good winemaking and the love and care for their land and environment. As a consequence of their traditional goal – making the very best wines – and pioneering spirit, Bodegas Guardiola is now a high-technology winery within the very popular Jumilla Designation of Origin.
